July 13, 2005 (Wednesday) — Sightseeing in Paris

Each morning we gather at the conservatoire, where we play hackysack waiting for everyone to gather. Today we went to Montmartre and saw Sacre Couer (we raced up the hill), where there were also a lot of shopping opportunities. After this stop we waded through traffic in our bus to get lunch at Cafe Romain, a Pasta Pomodoro-type chain in France. After lunch on our way to the Louvre, everyone got treated to ice cream since the concert was so good. We didn't have time to see everything at the Louvre of course, but we saw the highlights. After the Louvre we went home for dinner with billets. Levallois does their Bastille Day fireworks from the river the night before Bastille Day, so lots of guys ended up going to see fireworks with their host families.
