July 17, 2005 (Saturday) — Back to Paris

We loaded the bus in Caen and headed back to Paris for our final concert. We grabbed a quick lunch in the St Michel neighborhood. We drove to St Sulpice and went to the crypt to change for our rehearsal and concert. Great acoustics, and though the organ was a football field away, we were able coordinate with Marcia playing and Mr. Kula subconducting so we could do our first pieces with organ in France. We spread out the choir to help with the room acoustics, and it really helped. Pieces like Song for Athene sounded great, and there were about 450 people there to hear us and gave us a standing ovation. After coming back to our hotel from a couple of nights ago, we bid adieu to our great driver Olivier. We went out to our final dinner next to the new opera house, and we sang for the staff since we heard all the great visiting opera singers at that restaurant. Back to the hotel to pack. Next stop: Paris airport.
