A boy's treble voice lasts only a few years. By the
age of 13 or 14, most boys will never again in their lives be able to
make the sounds that typify a well-trained boys choir. The Pacific Boychoir
gives boys with potential the opportunity in these few years to become
professional singers, to sing with other choirs, on recordings, with orchestras,
and for audiences across the country and around the world.

The educational aspects of music have been well-documented. With music
as a vehicle, boys also learn responsibility, how to work as a vital member
of a team, how to present themselves, and the value of striving for excellence.
Though it takes
some hard work, singing in the Boychoir is of course fun! Performing provides
once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Find out what the Pacific Boychoir is
up to here.
The Pacific
Boychoir Academy is looking for boys in grades K-5 who like to sing (boys
age 10-18 with previous experience are invited to audition as well). Currently,
there are about 100 boys in the after school program. There is typically
one audition day in the winter and one in the fall for the after school
program (other appointments can be made in the case of conflicts), but
boys can be auditioned any time during the year. Boys interested in auditioning
for the Boychoir can call the choir office or send
an e'mail to the PBA. Families interested in the PBA day school can
visit the day school pages.
Next audition day: April 30, 2008
