We took a day trip to Ebjerg on the West Coast. We did academics on the bus on the way. We were without Pam and Adam for the day since Pam took Adam to Copenhagen for his visa interview. Thanks to Jill, we now know there are restrictions on his leaving and re-entering the country. They returned about 7pm.
There is beautiful countryside, which reminded a lot of the staff of the Midwest or rural Pennsylvania. We got to the Maritime Museum early, so we spent a few minutes on the beach. At the maritime museum we saw examples of Danish shipping over hundreds of years. They also have some animals there and we saw the seals get fed. They also had other exhibits about the Danish coast, including a German WWII bunker. We had bag lunches, which we ate in the cafeteria, then back on the bus to return to Herning for the evening rehearsal. The concert is the Durufle Requiem, the Widor Tantum Ergo, and an arrangement of the Franck Panis Angelicus, which includes a double-choir verse. The combined soprano sound is quite impressive. Tomorrow we have another day trip and evening rehearsal.
