July 18, 2007— in Cordenons

Swampy again today. But relief came in the form of a trip to the local pool. Luigi worked out a deal for us to spend the day at the local water park. It was 95 degrees or more, and the water park had two pools as well as a cafe and a grassy area to run around or get some shade. We spent most of the day there, then went back to our homestays for a rest period and then to the town square for our concert.

The concert was at an outdoor stage in the middle of the town of Cordenons. They shut off the street and we worked with our sound guy Stefano to get the miking and balances the best we could. Outdoor concerts are always tough. But the choir is sounding pretty tight, so although the effect is not the same, it's certainly not bad sounding. Kind of like how a bad piano never sounds quite bad with a good pianist.

After the concert we went for dinner then to bed for an early departure to Roma. Way humid and still hot overnight.
