The San Francisco Symphony’s recording of Mahler’s Third Symphony
The San Francisco Symphony’s recording of Mahler’s Third Symphony won the Grammy for Best Classical Album in 2004. Michael Tilson Thomas conducts this installment of the Mahler symphony recording project. The Pacific Boychoir joins forces with the San Francisco Girls Chorus and the women of the SF Symphony Chorus on the recording, made in concerts in September 2002. The double CD includes Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, sung by Michelle DeYoung.
