The new recording from the Pacific Boychoir is here! In addition
to the B-Minor Mass, Bach wrote four other masses. These "Lutheran"
masses are from Bach's time at the Thomasschule in Leipzig. The
Pacific Boychoir Academy, the only choir school on America's West
Coast, has recorded two of these masses with boy sopranos and
altos and an orchestra of Early Music specialists led by Kati
Kyme.

The Pacific Boychoir sings two sets of pieces in the newest recording
of music by New Mexico composer Michael Mauldin. In addition to
the Pacific Boychoir, Enchantment features performances
by the Ensemble of Santa Fe, the Russian State Symphony Cinema
Orchestra, as well as Lawrence Blind and the composer on piano.

Promised Land is the Boychoir's spirituals recording, which
led to an award for director Kevin Fox from the Friends of Negro
Spirituals in 2006. The recording features tenor Jonathon Hampton
and many of the songs the Pacific Boychoir has become known for

Cantate
(2004) features Bach Cantata 150 for the first time in America
sung with boy sopranos and boy altos, with period instruments,
and at Baroque pitch. Also on the CD are solo and duet works sung
by Boychoir soloists Julian Abelskamp and Jacob Wilson. The first
pressing of this CD sold out, but the recording has been re-released
(as of March, 2005) under the Titanic

The
San Francisco Symphony's recording of Mahler's Third Symphony won
the Grammy for Best Classical Album in 2004. Michael Tilson Thomas
conducts the latest in the Mahler symphony recording project. The
Pacific Boychoir joins forces with the San Francisco Girls Chorus
and the women of the SF Symphony Chorus on the recording, made in
concerts in September 2002. The double CD includes Mahler's Kindertotenlieder,
sung by Michelle DeYoung.
