August 26, 2006—Saturday in São Paulo

We had a morning rehearsal at MASP. Mr Brown scoped out the neighborhood and after the rehearsal we did a little shopping, including a cool music store. After lunch we had a rest period, then some recreation time. After dinner we played a game of Mafia (Devin and Jacob killed everyone), and then to the Sala for dress rehearsal. We're perched up in the highest balcony, as the ripieno part would be in Leipzig, and we use walkie talkies between myself and Mr Brown to coordinate entrances. The choir, orchestra, and soloists all sound great, and the SP concerts are sold out, 2600 seats apiece we're told. The concert hall is a converted train station and is an amazing concert space. We lost Terrell briefly this evening, but it turns out he got left behind on the bus.
