June 20, 2004 (Sunday and Father's Day)— Flagstaff, AZ

In the morning we sang for the church from where our host families came. The people were very appreciative, inviting us back. The boys called their dads to wish them a happy Father's Day. The boys changed clothes, and we ate lunch on the bus as we headed to Montezuma's Castle in the desert near Sonora. While it was 88 degrees in Flagstaff at 7000 feet, it was 98 degrees at Montezuma's Castle. We also drove to see Montezuma's Well, a natural spring in the desert, and then headed to a trading post where we also got root beer floats to hold us over until dinner. We drove to Phoenix and had dinner at the Old Country Buffet where they charge 55 cents per kid per year for kids 2-12. We drove to our Holiday Inn Express near the airport where we showered and repacked our bags and went to bed. See you tomorrow!
