in Miami

Slept in. Buffet breakfast.

Met at 10am to go to the Everglades. Loaded the bus for a 1-hour drive. iPod karaoke!!!

At Gator Park, saw a demonstration about alligators, how they chomp and how to wrestle one. Afterwards, we loaded a couple fan boats to take off on the swamp. It started raining, and we all got soaked, but our guides found us a dry spot where one of the drivers waded around in the water and answered questions we had. We saw only one gator, an eight-footer, that hung out in the same place the whole time we were there. Once we saw lightning with thunder within five seconds, we headed in.

We got some lunch (they were serving gator sandwiches, but we had hot dogs and cheeseburgers for the most part), and the rain came down like it can only in tropical climates. Huge raindrops, thunder, lightning, instant lake in the parking lot. We took turns sprinting to the bus to drive back to the hotel. The amount of rain was something many of the guys had never seen before. We're having the time of our lives on this tour, one thing after another.

After dinner we had our tour awards and end-of-tour meeting, comments, and announcements.

Timothy Hunt will be next year's Head Boy. Lead Boys will be Jacob, Kerry with a K, and Polish Adam.
