Attend a Tour and Shadow Day

Rising 3rd to 8th grade boys are invited to spend a “day in the life” at Pacific Boychoir Academy, by joining us for a shadow visit. Led by grade-level student ambassadors, boys will experience academic & music classes, giving them a true sense of the PBA experience. Meanwhile, parents tour the campus, visiting in-session classrooms to see our faculty in action, and have the opportunity to discuss their desires and concerns with our Admissions Director. Truly a unique opportunity to discover the compelling personal development experience we offer.

Join us for Monday Night Dinner

We invite you to step into a long-standing tradition at PBA, Monday Night Dinner with our concert & touring choir, the Troubadors. Bring your boy and join us for a light supper where you’ll dine with Music and Day School Faculty, Alumni, current students, and our Head of School. After dinner, enjoy an overview of our program presented by our Executive Director, Dean of Academics and learn more about the admissions process from our Admissions Director.
As an added highlight, guests will visit an in-session rehearsal of our Varsity Troubadors and their high school counterparts, the Changed Voice & Continuum choristers, providing a wonderful opportunity to see what our Day School has to offer your boy long-term.

2. Submit an Application

Space still available in select grades for the 2020-21 school year.  Applications for admission will be accepted until all seats are filled.  Inquire with our admissions office today to discover if a seat might be available for your boy:  admissions@pacificboychoir.org.

First-round Applications for Admission are due January 29, 2021, for the 2021-22 school year.

1. Application Form

Start your application online now, or download and submit via email or US mail, with application fee of $75.

2. Recommendation Letter

Ask a teacher, coach or youth leader to write a letter of recommendation on your behalf. They may write an original letter, or use the EBISA form. Applicants may submit multiple letters. All must be submitted directly from the teacher via email to: admissions@pacificboychoir.org

3. Transcript Release Form

Complete the form and give to an official at your son’s current school. They will send records directly to PBA.

4. Financial Assistance (Optional)

We partner with School and Student Services in our financial aid process. Complete a Parents’ Financial Statement online, by downloading this form in English, or in Spanish, and following the instructions. PBA school code is 3914.

Assessments

Applicants to our day school will be invited to return to PBA for a Placement Interview with our Director of Choral Studies and to complete our academic assessments. We feel strongly that a shadow day and this second visit make our admissions process as comprehensive as possible, allowing prospective families and our team to arrive at fully informed decisions. Following receipt of your application, Pacific Boychoir Academy will contact you to schedule your son’s assessment visit.

Notifications

Pacific Boychoir Academy, along with other EBISA schools, mails admissions decisions Wednesday, March 16, 2021, with email notifications sent Thursday, March 17, 2021 at noon. Families who have applied for financial assistance will be notified of any financial award at the same time they receive their offer of admission.

Enrollment Acceptance

To accept a seat at Pacific Boychoir Academy, families must return their signed enrollment contract and the required, non-refundable tuition deposit no later than one week after decisions are sent: Thursday, March 24, 2021.
