Student (and a few teachers too!) celebrated Día de los Muertos by contributing to the PBA Ofrenda. Students were invited to bring a picture or another object in memory of a departed family member, friend, or pet. Many wonderful photos and interesting items were contributed to the Ofenda, including the most darling photo of a pet hamster, a can of cat food for a pet dog that loved to eat it, a CD of a grandfather’s favorite music, peachy rings, umeboshi, and a bible. The boys were very thoughtful when speaking about their loved ones, and we all learned a little more about each other in the process.
