National Latin Exam Honors!
Just in! PBA’s National Latin Exam results. 25% of our middle school students received honors…that is just unheard of! The basic purposes of the NLE are to promote the study of Latin and to encourage the individual student.

PBA Alum News – Louis Pecceu
Louis Pecceu attended PBA’s Day School, continued singing with PBA’s after school choirs, and was a member of Continuum. He graduated from Berkeley High in 2021 with an Int’l Baccalaureate Degree. Louis is now attending San Diego State University, where he is majoring in Economics. He was accepted into the Honors College, living and studying with other high achieving students. We Teach Girls to Sing Too!

Our Sorella girls chorus will perform for the first time in two years with the Mills College Choir on May 1 at 3pm in the Littlefield Concert Hall at Mills College. EMAIL for DETAILS

Choral Scholar – Brenn Farrell

Congratulations to our newest Choral Scholar, Brenn Farrell! Due to his concerted efforts over many years, Brenn has finished his second gray card, completing PBA’s theory curriculum! Over PBA’s nearly 25-year history, Brenn is only the 5th chorister to achieve this accomplishment. Brenn joined PBA at age seven as a member of the Minstrel Choir, and began attending the Choir School in fifth grade. Read more…

Record Breaking Pi Day Competition

Quentin, a 3rd grader who had never heard of Pi months ago, decided to join the competition, usually dominated by middle school students. With just two weeks to prepare, he worked on memorizing the numbers of Pi every day…AND HE WON! With more than double the previous record, he recited an astounding 109 numbers of Pi, earning a pi shirt and a PBA Pizza “pi” of his choice. All students concluded the celebration with slices of their favorite homemade pies!

James’ trip to Ireland

James qualified to compete in the World Irish Dancing Championships when he finished in 2nd place in the Western Regional Championships this fall. The World Championships have been canceled the last two years so everyone was thrilled to be able to compete and celebrate this year. The 50th Anniversary of the World Championship competition was held in Belfast, Ireland. Read more…
